how long does it take to make a winch bumper??

<< < (3/3)

frosty:

Well, I rang them today and was told that it had just come back from paint last night but the finish wasn't up to standard and he would be sending it back to be sorted out...I thought this was an unlikely story, especially as id been told on the 3rd of Feb it'd be here for the 9th..and when i reminded them of this the fella got a bit funny on the phone and his attitude changed..so I asked for my money back! Which he really didn't like! 2 more phone calls and almost 7 and a half hours later I got my money back! Basically, I gave a firm my money to look after for the best part of a month!

I'm still miffed how any firm can sell a product that they haven't got a build time advertised....oh well, guess id better get looking for something else to spend my hard earned on...

Bishops Finger:
Build times are a nebulous concept...in theory it should take X time ...factor in supply issues for components, less than perfect builds and suddenly it takes longer...its a tough line between customer satisfaction and cash flow....

wizard:
At the end of the day... If you aint got it you can't sell it !!!

wizard

Range Rover Blues:
What complicates the issue is that many things like this will be built in batch, it's uneconomic to make one aat a time if things like the laser cutter have to be programmed and any jigs set up etc.

Think yourselves lucky, the ACO O.C. ordered some back panels for the MkI Escort about 10 years ago, rumour has it they might get made this summer!
