Heated Windscreen?

(1/2) > >>

Big G:
Will soon be having a bit of bad luck and my windscreen will break  ;)  now heres the question ..... If I got it replaced with a heated one would there be much difficulty in fitting the electrics to make it work and if its easy enough would it cost much to do?

I am sure the great knowledge on here will put me right

JIMBOBLY:
that wouldnt take much work at all realy, you'd need some reasonably heavy wire,30 amp relay,20 amp fuse, and if you wanted to be realy flash, you could get a proper landrover switch that wouldnt look out of place in the dash,it'd be a good conversion,i have done one actually,in a stock hatch race car,so they dont have to have all the air box and stuff.

Tiki Al:
best mod i've ever done :)  got all i needed from Devon 4x4

Big G:
A question for anybody that already has a heated screen on a Defender .........  which way up will the connectors be? ............ at the top of the screen or the bottom? ......... just so I can prepare the wiring.

Thanks .... G

davidlandy:
keep the wires as short as possible = bottom
