If I got it replaced with a heated one would there be much difficulty in fitting the electrics to make it work and if its easy enough would it cost much to do?

I am sure the great knowledge on here will put me right

i was thinking the same myself im sure i read somewhere you need a timer so it doesnt burn out the element
are you getting yours done through autoglass

Big G:
rage rover .....

Will be getting the windscreen fitted by National Windscreens.

Yes your right regards the timer issue but i`m not sure if its a timer switch or a timer relay .. :-k also not sure wther to fit two relays of say 30amps each one between the switch and each positive terminal on the windscreen or to just go through one but thats a big 70 amp relay. Someone will put us right hopefully mate ;)

Tiki Al:
don't know if this is going to work but here goes :)

it's supposed to be a wiring diagram for the heated screen pdf doc :)
