Easy, engine, box transfer, rad intercooler out of Disco, cut off engine mounts, remove efi plus gearbox rad etc. weld in engine mounts, engine and box in connect up steering pump etc with Disco parts, use Disco exhaust jobs a good un.

I have a 200tdi in my 82 RR that was even easier as all the floor comes out, didn't take very long atall, biggest issue was cutting and shutting a gerbox tunnel for the later 5 speed box, but yours already has that sorted. The V8 box won't bolt up to the 200tdi so use the Disco one which fits fine.

  :lol:Yes Pete it was easy but I didn't need the car took about a week to do in the evenings !! But engine and box were already out of the old RR that donated the tdi !!

Take the pump out of the tank would be easiest but you need pipes to go down into the tank to get the fuel up !!

I have the plastic tank out of the doner RR lying in the barn doing nothing if you want it, but, it's up in Northumberland. !

Right thanks so will swop the lot over was temptered to change tank as the disco is plastic and better condition

all other bits not a problem as disco is complete its just the disco is rotten and can not be bothered to weld it all up like the range rover as there are few about

does the gear box mounts work or do they need making ?

was told that i would have problems with the center tunel area?

thanks all for the help
