OMG its still overheating
vicskyline:
Its driving us crazy now, we have tried everything on our 300tdi 90 and she is still over heating, here is what we have done,
thermostat/housing
water pump and all gaskets
new radiator
sender unit
done many coolant changes, check airlocks
we are baffled
what happends is she is fine on town runs, as soon as we hit motorway it goes up just under red, and then let of throttle and cools down,
if anyone can see something we are missing, any help is much appricated.
Thanks

Hi,
Im having similar problems with my 300Tdi 90. Just ordered a new rad. Been suggested to me that it may be the cooling fan not turning at correct speed when engine gets up to temp, not had time to check mine yet but might be an idea for you to look at.
Cheers,
Iain

When you are on the motorway does the 90 seem as though it is struggling to keep up with the flow of traffic and is it overheating on the hills(accelerating more to keep up with the flow)As soon as you back off it starts to cool down.
