Rad air lock

The Electrician:
I'll give that a go in the morning.....thanks

you may also want to try taking the expansion tank lid off and pump the bottom hose as was said earlier, but, do it on the steepest hill facing uphill that you can find. it will help any air that is locked in the system come to the top and hopefully end up farting out of the expansion tank!!

another answer is to remove the pipes that go thru the bulkhead to feed the heater matrix and stick a hosepipe onto one of the pipes to flush out the matrix. if the cores are blocked with silt and rust deposits it wont let the hot water thru to send heat into the cabin. once this is done bleed the system as described earlier tho. i did mine and loads of crap came out and the cabin get much hotter now.

another reason for the cabin not gettin very hot is that your viscous fan coupling is not working properly. ive just changed mine as it was almost solid (i think from all the mud and stuff getting into it over time or it was just tired). with the engine cold, it should spin freely when you turn the engine off and only engage and spin under drive from the engine when it is warm. if it spins all the time at the same speed as the engine it is over cooling.

hope this helps.
