Lucas starter motor refurb.
« on: April 11, 2005, 11:24:39 »
Hi there

Can anybody recommend someone (decent/cheap) to refurbish a Lucas 2m100 starter motor within 10 - 15 miles of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. The starter is from an 1983 2.25 petrol SWB.

Thanks.

Kevin

There is a small company that are very good at restoring starter motors, can't think of there name there located in Riverside on the Stoke Hammond Road, just before you get to the double roundabouts before the Lakes estate in Bletchley.

see map http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=488315&y=231580&z=3&sv=488315,231580&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf&dn=790

I have used them many times to fix starters etc - I have a dig around see if I can find there name and full address tel no etc.

Thanks for that.

Strangely enough, during my search through the Yellow Pages, there is another firm on that marina, but at unit 10. They have a different phone number, but coinicidence? :? Their name is Auto Electrical Services.

And why don't you remember me

Don't know why I asked really, doesn't matter. I will just have to try and get along to another meet (preferably before the next AGM!)
Did you bring the 6-wheeler that was in the carpark?

As normal my excellent memory for names/places comes into play...

BTW FYI, just dropped the starter at Auto Electrical Services and had a look around - could not see any sign of A D J Automotive - I think that you are living in a parallel universe AICMFP...
