Totally depends on categories on your licence?

If you passed your test between 1976 and 1986 then you should have category H on your licence, that is for tracked vehicles!

beyond that tho they are ok? or do they have other rules covering them too?

Steel tracks are illegal on the highway. Can't see why a rubber tracked 4x4 would be a problem as long as insurance, licence...

Aren't they about 10K a set though?  Why not just buy a tank or hagland and have some real fun ;)
