(1/6) > >>

alrite guys

just wondering if its ok or not to use a diferent size spare to the other 4. say 235.70.16 then run a spare wheel 235.85.16 or vice versa odviosly only to get home, garage etc

THONG BOY:
i think leagaly the spar wheel has to be the same diamiter as the others
ie you could have 235 85s  but a 750 16 spare

If you've a centre diff then really you need both axles to have the same size tyre on. If you've not got a centre diff, then put the odd size tyre on the front (2wd) and nurse it home. The front diff / unlocked hubs will let the smaller wheel work.

Nurse home though - you'll probably be the other side of the law.

I was thinking it may cause damage but wasent sure if the diff would compensate for the difrence or not. dont think that law is strictly true though about size, I have seen new up to date cars with tiny little red spare wheels

Height is the same, but width is different. They are also limited on speed.  back to that emergency v normal use thang.
