Disco 300tdi or TD5..Which is best

Hi all,

I am going to buy another disco, I have the choice of a TD5 or 300tdi...I am going to be using it as a light laner and overland vehicle...thinking of going to see nothern lights in it next year...What do you think is best for laning and overland...I here all sorts about TD5's being trouble with head gasket and electrics...are the V8's reliable and ok in a bit of water...am after a diesel really...Some speedy help will be appreciated as I have my eye on both.

My Td5 has been superb ..  Been as far as Sweden ...Anything can be trouble if your unlucky, If your going tobe crunching the miles TD5 ..... and you should nt have the rot problems..
