I hadn't, but thanks, they're now on my list of people to call tomorrow.

It would have the added bonus of making it easier to solve the roadside recovery problem as well.

Now would be a good time to mention to everybody here that the AA only cover vehicles up to 2.3 tonnes on their normal policies.  The Disco TD5 is 20KG under their limit!  Heavier vehicles need their own per-vehicle coverage.

Vam:
NO idea about Iceland, but I have had problems getting insurance cover on cars for Craft fairs.

Nothing to do with the stock just simply attending the fair in my vehical they slapped on an extra couple of hundred quid

I could attend the fair as a customer, leave it in the general unpatroled carpark all day and that would be fine, but to have the car on the patroled area was a no no.

Lancaster where fine about it, didn't matter to them at all  :)

the loon:

Wanderer:
You may be caught between the devil and the deep blue sea as you have a 6x6 and a camper. Both specialist vehicles.
Try MCIA (Lifesure) they used to do my camper insurance but ran a mile when I wanted to modify my Discovery although the cover they gave me was via NIG and when I moved the Disco it was with wait for it NIG.
It turns out that they can't offer cover on anything other than a standard Discovery.
So I had to change brokers and cancel a policy that was running to end up staying with the same insurance company.
