Electric to Manual windows
« on: November 23, 2009, 23:00:53 »
My Disco 1 has electric windows and Im not a big fan of elecy windows.

How much work is involved in converting these to manual windows?

Just replace the mechanisms and door cards?

Also are the electric motors/mech sought after? (not to make money, just so i dont bin them)

I didn't think there were any manual Discos - might need to modify an electric door card.

Look on ebay for the current motor cost, don't bin them.

there were manual windows on some discos not many though

you can buy the regulators from paddocks, not sure if  you could convert the door cards.

Surely the door cards just need a hole in them.. Camel Discos had manual front windows and electrixc back ones.

there were manual windowed discos, my 1st 1990 disco had them,  and i changed them to electric, as they were a PITA

Will be putting them on ebay at some point in the very not too distant future!
