No steering (what now)

<< < (2/3) > >>

Little-Green-Machine:
It may be the pump, i have seen the insides just suddenly break and kill the hydraulic side of the the steering, the pump doesnt look any different untill you take it apart

Range Rover Blues:
Witht he wheels off the floor you should be able to move the steering without the PAS, so drop a balljoint off and try it by hand.

BigA:
Looks like it may be the pump.

Jacked it up and checked everything today, all looks ok and steering turns fine, even with ignition off. Changed Steering box anyway just to be sure, and still the same after. Also when i tried to bleed the replacement box, no fluid came out of the bleed nipple (bloody did on old box).

So looks like a new pump needed.  :(

beast5680:
I had a steering pump shear the shaft inside the pump, everything looks normal from the outside but the pump is not driving internally
