I don't mind people asking for local help. Took a first timer out last Sunday for a day on
some local lanes.
Have to admit that I like to meet them before I offer though.
Without help, some will just drive where ever they like, some will walk away from
the hobby, and the ones who do walk away are usually the ones we should be
looking after.
The others will do what they want either way
Just my thoughts.

if we as a group don't help people we have not met then do we not run the risk of stagnating? would it not be better to educate those we meet so that they can choose a reponsible approach in future. also is it wise to get hung up on what others may do in our absence?
