the cheepest place to buy a gps reciver

Ok, now I'm intrigued - whenever I've looked at that approach they've been a lot more than £8! I would quite like to switch to a directly connected one as I won't have to remember to charge the GPS puck before trips then.

The cheap ones from the far east don't seem to be around.  £20 seems the best price now.

this is the way forward for me I think.  hope its somewhat water proof lol

More often than not, you don't even need to mount them outside the cab, or if you do need the extra little bit of reception, you can quite often get a cheap aerial that will allow you to get the signal from outside the vehicle, and yet keep the main unit dry.
