Head gasket change

Hi all

How hard is it to change a head gasket on a 300tdi ...what tools to you need.

local garage wants £450 being disabled a don't have that sort of money so Will try it myself.

Believe it or not I followed the haynes book of lies & had no problems, tourque wrench sockets & spanners is about all iirc,

sure some one else will be along shortley with a bit more technical info

ITS NOT THAT HARD HAVE DONE MINE TWICE THE HARDEST BIT IS THE BACK A HEAD BOLTS WHERE THE BULK HEAD ROLLS OVER ENGINE IT IS EASIER IF YOU HAVE TWO PEOPLE A TAKE HEAD OFF AND PUT IT BACK ON
