not sure about the 380 but in the lt77 disco box the levers are further back as well in order to swap them over you have to replace the whole lever/selector sections.
90Mike:
So could i just use my discovery R380 box and just use a defender TD5 transmission tunel, does any one know if this would be the correct way to start lining everything up :?
extreme90:
apart from the obvious with the gear sticks being the wrong way ( disco = short stick ) vs (defender = longstick)
the input shaft and bellhousing and input shaft is kin huge
you will need the defender r380
if you run the t/box on the existing mounts and run the current props you can keep the trans tunnel and floor in
ive done a few td5 conversions now on defenders and its relitivly easy if after the first one
you will need defender looms and ecu as the disco loom and ecu wont be any use
what you doing about the tank ??
expect a s*** load of leccy gremlins all due to poor grounds

hey there mike 90 like extreme90 says use defender gearbox and u can use 90 tank with a bit of modifying as for loom if your good a wiring u can use disco loom and ecu and get rid of half the wiring
