It lives!!
« on: September 13, 2009, 17:29:36 »
Probably of no interest to anyone but 'The beast' lives and breathes again-  4 years after last being fired up, and after cleaning the fuel system, fixing the dodgy electrics (OK, less fixed than ripped out and replaced with a bit of bent wire) and, today, clearing half a chalk factory out of my Solex carb, my 66 Landy 88" now fires up and runs!

Shame I'm going to take it all to bits now in preparation for replacing the chassis but with a good engine at least I know know it will be worth the effort!

Oh and add a not-split fuel line, and a fan belt to the Xmas list :)

Theres hope for us all if I can manage it.
