200 tdi tick over probs

hi there i have developed a problem with my 200 tdi . I was driving it this morning with no problems until i pulled up all of a sudden the tick over sounded odd sort of on 3 cylinders type of odd i tryed to rev the engine but nothing happened for a few seconds then she reved up and away we went this has happend 3 or 4 times now once you get over tick over it run s fine, i have noticed it taking longer on the key to start lately , any suggestions to a couse would be most welcome . Thanks Iain.   
                                    ps i only use forecourt fuel

Mine was doing something similar, turned out to be the lift pump arm was broken

ahhh now that would make sense as i changed the lift pump last year to try fix an unrelated problem (it didnt) the lift pump i bought was cheap off ebay and to be honest although new i was not happy with it. fortunately i kept the old one and will re fit it .thanks for your advice i will let you know how i get on  ;) Cheers Iain

re fitted the old lift pump and all  is well now :D thanks for the help  :clap:
