200 into n/a defender

i found a lot of write ups were its a 200 into a td but as yet none for a n/a is there a diff or is it the same ie use n/a gearbox then just plumb it all in got my disco for the engine and what ever i need of it just wondering what else i need to get

exactly the same u need the flywheel housing an engine mounts off the na to put on disco engine and then same old with exhuast but all wiring is the same oh an i used the fuel filter housing off disco as n/a fuel pipes screwed straight in2 it

thanks what about the oil cooler pipes as n/a dont have them also i thinking of using the power steering of the disco as i think its just a bolt off bolt on job for that unless someone says diff

what i did was get the disco oil cooler pipes lengthened by a mate who works for pirtek an u can use disco pas box an pipework u just have to get pipes lengthened again an if u using disco rad u have 2 lower the rad mounts 2

Am i right in thinking you will need to change the drop arm to use the disco pas box?

yes mate take the drop arm off ya n/a manual box an it will go straight on2 the disco pas box

ok, I'm on the look out my self for a 90 so think maybe I should keep the Disco engine & bits as a donor as non 200tdi's seem to go for a lot less  ;)

when i did mine i cheated slightly an brought the steve parker exhuast an intercooler pipes but u can fit a 300 tdi turbo an then u can use a standard downpipe but i think u have 2 shorten it

yes mate but i think there is a bit more involved with a petrol as i think u have to run a extra fuel line for the return
