Sportrak Auto hubs
« on: July 05, 2009, 21:37:38 »
I'm new to sportraks(just sold my Vitara)Thought I'd try the Sportrak like the roofs for change.Anyway it's a 1.6 inj 93(k)elxi,I was'nt getting 4wd on the left side so I took the hub apart(that split ring on top is a sod to get back)and found the cage that holds the cog is broken in one place out of the three, phoned a parts supplier mentioned on Daihatsudrivers  and got the old chestnut you have to buy the complete Hub at £300 ha car was only 600.Anyway it's back together now and in 4wd,the prob being it won't go to 2wd on the left side now.Question Can I drive it around in 4wd high, bit of motorway and a roads about 70 miles return to the p&p sites?
Now got some camacs and bfg a/ts can't get it stuck.Need longer legs.
