How did you come up with the name of your car?

How did you come up with the name of your car?
This is a hard one.
My Discovery is called Big Blue.
Reason?
Apart from its big and blue (Marsielles blue, some call it green..IDIOTS) my kids were into Finding Nemo at the time and thats what the fishys called the ocean so it fitted with them. They only refer to it as Big Blue now.

How did you lot come up with the name for your cars??
Was it a long lost love, a play on words from its number plate??
(this should be interesting)

i came up with OLD JOE after my old boss who died a few years ago he got me into land rovers when i was 13 and i always said that when i get a landy it would be named after him in memory of him.

he taught me about the countryside and fencing and a lot of things it was like having 3 dads my real dad taught me about my stepdad well he is my stepdad and joe taught me metal work tractor driving so much and his philosphies i use to this day and if i have kids they will be passed down to them as well.

Trouble old joe is so much like him stubborn built like an ox a nd will go on forever.

Dazza and old joe  :(    :D

The Spanish Inquisition?

Because no-one expects it.  Julie's a Python fan you see, and I never tire of that pained expression as the colour drains from the face of a driver who failed to notice 2 TONNES of Rangie coming his/her way before doing something b****y stupid right in front of it.  I swear once a guy in a Porche Boxter actually c****ed himself as he disappeared from view beneath the bonnet.

I never give mine a name.
It is an item that I use to go to work and sometimes use to go for a spin.
It's not a car.
It's not a van.
It's not a Landrover.
I call it a Truck

When we fitted the snorkel to it Lizzy thought it looked a bit like the Banana Splits character Snorkly.

So that's how she got her name.
Just need some big shades for her now :)

The Jimny is called 'JEG the Goat' - mainly because JEG forms the reg and is also a nickname for my uncle, and the Goat - obvious really because it will climb anything!

The 90 on the other hand is short of a name - I've called it 'terrapin' for now as it forms part of the reg again. Any suggestions?  :)
