Mild off road tyres??

(1/3) > >>

lucky:
Hello,

I am trying to find some 4x4 soft roader tyres for my wife's car, the size is 215/60/16 H. Only found Yokohama Geolanders H/T S that look any good.

Has anyone ever tried them??

or can anyone suggest anything different?

I am after something that will be good on road but will be able to cope with the odd off road stint.

Thanks again for any help.

dxmedia:
BFG AT's, exeptional on the road, huge millage off them (80 000 miles has been noted - google and you'll see this isn't bull) and not bad off road. Will fill up quickly in mud, but very good on snow and great surface area for rock.

I run the insa copies myself (cheapscate ;) ) for everything apart from p&p sites, and I've not been stuck yet.

Range Rover Blues:
BFG ATs, great in the wet, good in mud (but not as good as a mud tyre) snow, etc etc.  My LSE eats them for breakfast though because it's fast and heavy, I've not seen any other AT with better shoulder grip but it makes them prone to wear.

V8MoneyPit:
But I don't suppose you will get BFG AT's in 215/60x16, will you?

dxmedia:
Yes.

google bfg at 215/60r16 and the size is listed.
