Hello from Aus
« on: May 30, 2009, 06:22:20 »
Hi all

I have a Land Rover Discovery 300Tdi and found this site while searching for future mods. I am from Qld in Australia and we seem to have quite a different modifying style over here. We also have very different terrain with not much mud about currently due to how dry it has been but the other side is we have very nice beaches to drive on. Here are some pics of my car and some of the great places I get to travel and explore.

Cheers
Dan

I'm jealous  :D

I can't persuade SWMBO'd that Qld would be a great place to live. Even with hobby farms of 500 acres being so little money compared to the UK

Welcome to the club.

Hi Dan,
Welcome.
I used to live in Townsville and had a camping safari business going up Cape York and a brill 5 day rain forest trip up from Cardwell. Fantastic part of the world.
Good Luck,
Jack

G'day mate,

OOOHHH, brings back lots of memories - mind you I prefered NT to QLD, esp the Finke race weekend! (remember when "Big Dick Johnson" (oz touring car champ) came up & he thought he was gunna blow the locals away - lol he got blown away and joined team DNF!!!!)
