gears jamming????

i presume you mean the nut on the mainshaft in transfer box, if so it should have a lock tab plate behind so i just do it up til there is no slack behind it i.e. tight against gear and fold lock tab down if you dont have one i would suggest getting one. if thats any help. currently rebuilding two gearboxes into one after 3.0 v6 stripped teeth off two cogs in original.

that nut jams against the nosing on the rear cover on the transferbox and everything gets wound up.  Had it happen to mine once before.  If you don't have a tab washer for it make sure you get one otherwise it'll just happen again.
