New landy New problems
« on: March 27, 2009, 18:00:06 »
I have a new landy, Trevor, he's got free wheeling hubs except they don't seem to lock in! and so, I was wondering if any of you kind gents would have any ideas of any common problems and/or if i'm missing something, I turn them towards 4wd, the one makes a slight grinding noise where as the other one doesn't. Does this give any clues to anyone as to which is working and which one is not?
Thanks in advance
Dave

What hubs are they?  Are they Fairey? MAP?

You could always just remove the free wheeling hubs and fit standard drive flanges too.

Sorry, I forgot to mention they're Fairey. I'd much rather fit the permanently locked hubs but i'm unsure to where i'd acquire these and what parts would be needed for the job. So, if you know anyone, gimme a price and I'll see if something can be sorted  ;)
