well mot was last tuesday and ended up getting a 3 page failure sheet he he whoops  :?  well most of it fixed just waiting for my mate to get back to me about parts . . .

well what im after is .. . on the sheet it says :
(nearside front axle swivel joint has excessive movement between a swivel joint and its housing [2.5.A.1b] **DANGEROUS**)

so how do i fix this or is it a case of whole new swivel housing . . .

 cheers mike

biggerlandy:
depens on the swivel if its pitted rusty marks etc then yes get a swivel unit complete with bearings etc

mikiep1986:
it doesnt look rusty and it isnt much movement to be honest but does leak a little bit of grease out of the bottom ?

meader:

you can try taking out a shim or two form on top and bottom that might tighten up the swivil as it will push the bearings in closer

robdog:
Yes I found that out when doing my brakes, there are two 17 bolts that are on the top and bottom the ones on the top also hold the bracket for the brake lines. If you loosen off the bolts on the top only you will notice the oil starting to drip out from the swivel ball, take the bolts out completely and under the plate there will be some shims. Remove one of the shims and replace the bolts this will push the swivel pin and bearing down and should stop any movement and stop any oil leaking out.
