well travelled winch

fitted the winch off my defender onto my range rover over the weekend, using the defender winch bumper, which was originally on a disco 2 :shock:. a little bit of grinding, £25 on bolts, discs and drill bits and ive got a full working  9500lb warn winch  :dance:  finished fitting it at 16.00, at 16.05 we used it to move a tractor :D  only thing is after fitting it thers not much grill left so may have to make a new one out off wire mesh :-k  very pleased though

2007 ford ranger wildtrack d/cab(dads)
yamaha big bear 350 2wd, likes to eat flies, fixed (until i roll it again)

You should be able to have quite a bit of grille left with a lowline winch on a Rangie...

i think i took a bit too much grill away, but the way its fitted alot of the winch/bumper sticks into the gap between the bumper and rad, also had to cut a bit out for the kill switch.....
as for the pictures, took some and im trying too uploed them but im obviously better with a spanner/shovel than with a computer.... :roll:

Try getting hold of the pre-EFi rad, the old metal one/  That way you can have a tidy grille around the headlights and make whatever you like in the middle.
