 yea head has to be skimmed used the lighter and straight end and saw the light coming through . . . just another question people where the fuel pipes go into the head im guessing thats the injectors connecting to the head just wondering how they come out . . just dont wna end up breaking them . . .

they just pull out mate there is no threads on them just a copper washer and make sure you dont loose them or its a trip to the shop for some new ones

They just pull out and when you put them back lightly copper slip them and get a new set of copper washers as they are compresion and leak easily. You may also need to replace the little copper washers (8) on the over flow pipe. When you put it all back together be very carefull not to over tighten as they snap very easily......... I just did this job on my motor on Sat and I would of saved myself a lot of time if I had just spent the couple of pounds on the washers in the first place as I ended up over tightening one of the injector clamps because it was leaking due to reusing the copper washer and it snaped so I had to fit a new stud as well :roll:

I ended up over tightening one of the injector clamps

 yea i snapped 1 of those bolts before so went very careful this time round lol . .

 well everything is all done in the end the head was fine didnt need skimming had my mate come round who is a mobile machanic and he checked it said it was fine so i checked it again with his choice of tools and he was right . . so new gaskets r on all tightened up started fine and 1st time  :dance:  still a little bit of smoke but guessing thats whats left in the system . . and its just burning it out . . also sounding and running very nice


 next test is mot on tuesday  [-o< [-o<
