V8 transfer box- help needed please

the, main box on the v8 has a oil cooler, were on a 300 it won't.

Range Rover Blues:
The oil cooler isn't the problem as it is just a cover plate on a 300TDi.  1st gear is lower and the input shaft is shorter and smaller IIRC.

All transfer boxs are interchangeable though but check for wear on the input gear of earlier T-boxs.
