V8 transfer box- help needed please

can any one help??

Friend has just brought a manual 3.9 v8 5 speed disco which has now developed a problem, which i believe to be the transfer box.

I was wondering will a 300tdi 5 speed manual gear box and transfer box go in without any problems.

not sure on the box but the transfer box should exchange . check the ratio though . should be printed on the back of the transfer box just below the level plug.might be worth giving ashcroft transmitions a call ask them ...alan

i think the lay shaft maybe the wrong lenght mate,not by much,not 100% sure tho :D

transfer box off a diesal will go on no problems on a v8 box same ratio too as they both 1.2 i believe
