Is there a way of bypassing all the ignition and just having a switch to power up and a push start for a 3.9 injected v8 play thing??

not hijacking honest

Instructions for morons would be handy  ;)

Well, I was confused yesterday .... now I'm flamin' fuming

Will it start this morning? Don't answer that! Stupid Japanese (made in Solihull) car  :?

It's cranking over and there's sparks at the plugs and it's getting fuel so why won't it start?

It ran beautifully all day yesterday ... loads of switching off and re-starting ... a couple of good runs to keep the battery topped up ... what can be wrong?

H E L P !!!

Disco-andy:
As you are after a air box, is there a problem round the air flow meter? mine wouldn't start with the air pipe work removed.

Its just a guess im not good with v8's, hence i just sold it

Hi Andy, I'm almost wishing I'd bought yours now  :D

Had the car looked at today and a couple of things were noted. Firstly, the fuel pump isn't providing full fuel pressure, then there's the small(?) matter of the ignition timing being out and the plugs having the wrong gap - well the 4 I didn't get around to changing yesterday anyway - and the plug leads being a bit naff. Oh yeah, and there's practically a direct open-ended airway into the AFM - the filter ain't doin' nuffink!

The car was at A&D Autogas to have a certificate issued so I go them to check it over at the same time. I'll call you tomorrow to arrange to collect that air box  :D
