Hi all,
Just discovered this place by following a link from another place. I had a read of some of the posts and I like the look of the place so I thought I would hang around :)

I have an 1990 RRC V8 which has been in the process of being re-built for the past four years - now don't get excited, it's still a shed - because I'm a slow worker and always broke ;) . During the last four years I have welded just about every bit of steel you can point to on a Range Rover (and a lot you can't) - but it's nearly done now :) (And I've been saying that for a year too!)

Last spring I bought a cheap Disco to 'tide me over' until the RRC was finished, but it didn't quite make it - something on the engine went poof (loads of smoke) last November and I have been without 4 wheel transport since. Some bits from the Disco are already welded on the RRC and more will be migrating soon, since the Disco - apart from the engine - is in much better shape than the RRC. In fact if I was sensible I would merely move the engine from the RRC to the Disco, but I couldn't bare to do that after all the graft, money, blood, sweat and tears that have gone into it ;)

Anyway - that's enough about me - You'll probably see me around now and then..

Welcome to the club.

Sounds like an extensive (or is that epensive?!) rebuild there. All too farmiliar to me. Took my donor 90 apart in November 2007 and still only have a rolling chassis and a few body sections finished  :roll:
