Roof lining sagging....

What ho - haven't been here for yonks - good to see the Club still thriving.....

My 2001 TD5 CSW clearly has more water than usual coming into the roof - 'skylight' seals presumably?  Anyway, the roof lining is 'delaminating' for want of a better word, the vinyl finish losing shape in various places.

Can anyone tell me whether its possible to fix this?  Maybe inject suitable adhesive?  I guess keeping pressure on to keep it in shape until stuck would be the problem.

Otherwise replace - difficult job?  Expensive?

Anyone with advice on fixing the seals would be welcome too!

With 145k on the clock I'm getting to the point where she needs some tlc to counter some of the age related weak spots!!

Proabably your best bet would be to remove the headlining completely - you can then dry it out, and find out where the waters getting in.

Then either refit your existing headlining, or get one off a scrapper, or get a 'new' one - I think a company called 'Le Salle Trim' do fibreglass replacements.

You can remove the fabric from the moulded insert, this insert can then be spraypainted a suitable colour and then put back.
Looks like new and it wont sag again!

this is what i done with mine if it is any help istuck insulation tiles to roof then boreded and carpeted over
great sound proofing and hold the heat great but also looks good
