I had a plug done on my old cavalier and he did it all while still on engine.  Still did 30k miles and was still going strong when I sold it  ;)

Yoshi:
Well i have found a mechanic who is willing to try and do it while the head is still on!  So need to charge the battery tomorrow and hope it drives on Wednesday to get that done! lol

i have fitted heli coils at work with the head still on just put grease on the tap/drill bit to collect some of the swarf then blow down the spark plug hole with an airline.

Cool, he owns a couple of discoveries and when i worked at the car dealership we used to use him for our repairs so i know he can get it done!

I just cant wait to get the old girl back! lol
