Spark Plug Removal

(1/3) > >>

Yoshi:
OK, am being a wimp, but i cant get the first one i try out!!! lol, it just wont undo!

gnasha:
try doing it up very slightly then undoing it keep socket as straight as poss so not to snap plug and put some muscle into it

Yoshi:
Tried that, got nothing!

Need to get this done tomorrow as it wont start now and i have got a feeling its something to do with plugs/leads etc..... lol

forestrynick:
Before you get too worried about it being the plugs pull of a lead and see if you get spark between lead and clean corner of the block. Least that way you can rule out other problems first. However if you've been trying to start it for a long time they may need a clean up anyway, mine wouldn't start cause they were so gunked up!

Then make sure you have the right size socket, with thin walls. (my socket got wedged between the spark and cylinder head which doesn't help). And a decent rachet.

Otherwise don't know what else to suggest

Nick

Yoshi:
What size socket should i get though?

ATM i am using one of them all in one jobbies with a handle, but i just cant get the grip on it i would with a socket!

There is so many different sockets on ebay, i dont know which one to buy! lol
