Going off road couldnt be easier in a disco 3, if you get one with terrain response, there very impressive ;) had mine out laning a few times, & took it to the bramcote open day on bald road tyres & it coped. Now got at2s but havent tried out on the brown stuff yet! A very well put together machine

Hi

I had one of these for a while, a great car.

A really good source of information on them is www.disco3.co.uk. You will find loads of info there about known problems, differences between specs, tyre choice and off roading them.

When i got mine I did a training day with protrax (www.protrax.co.uk) which i found really useful.

Good luck

Steve

I had the Range Rover TDV6 and it was superb, when you get a Disco TDV6 make sure it is the auto and get the ecu remapped ie chipped, much better for it and better on the fuel :D  If you can get one with some remaining manufacturers warranty then that would be good as they can be very expensive to repair, but i found mine to be excellent!

The Disco HSE is the top of the range and has everything on it

As Steve said check out www.disco3.co.uk excellent place for information

regards Arthur

Have you added any off-road protection?

Sounds amazing!!

Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it, Do it......
I have a tdv6 for 5 weeks. Had v8's, 90's hybrid offroaders but this beats the lot. Wicked offroad, perfect on road. Mines a manual but i hear the auto is better but not sure why. As mentioned Disco3 forum is the oracle for info and fixes for the beast. If you are serious about offroading get a set of cheap 19" alloys off ebay for under 200 quid and fit some MTR's then you will go everywhere just like they do on the G4.  You should easily find one for your budget given that 55 06 platers with approx 60k are floating about for 10k or under
