I had one, also pants. Buy a decent second battery and some good jump leads, works for me.
P.S> try a scrappy for the batterys, a had a mate who was junking cars and used to buy good batteries from him for £5 each, they all went into my mate's car showroom and saved a fortune. Youi'd be amazed how many sxcrap cars have an almost new battery (and tyres, exhausts etc.).

You also need to check both the ampage and CCA (cold cranking amps) which is the bit that the jump pack delivers whilst your trying to start the vehicle.
I've got 2 jump packs a Sealey RS1 which is great for small tuff. but won't fire over my 200tdi and a MAC one which is awesome thats got 900 amp cca I think off the top of my head BUT they are close to 200 quid.
If you dont use the vehicle much and electricity is available you would be much better off with a trickle charger or battery conditioner like the Optimates..
Jump packs do not solve the problem off a knackered battery ! I go to loads of cars in my job and alot of people comment on the fact that they could do with a jump pack and my answer every time is get a decent battery...
Incidently the battery on my 110 has just died due to the cold weather and like yours it doesn't get used :(

If its a second car why not just get a decent set of jump leads?
Also is there any reason the battery cant be disconnected when not in use?
I got a lorry battery that is kept on a trickle charge in the garage ;)

I guess the obvious consideration is that a decent car battery will cost £50+, so any device costing £15 can't have a decent battery in! :lol:

i had the same problem. so i have fitted a battery isolator switch.
pull the key before leaving and its still fully charged when i get back to it 3 weeks later :D...only problem is reseting radio stations on the radio :lol: :lol:
