I'm learning with the AA. Obviously it'll be a different instructor in your kneck of the woods, but they have a set way of doing things. I find that they don't rush things, but because of this I always feel ready when my instructor gives me something to do. Give them a ring as they have some good offers, it'll probably take a lot of lessons but it should give your mrs some confidence.
