big suspension touching wheel arches

Sometimes it pays to reread threads from the start, I had missed the "standard alloys" the first time round. I recon you may be the first person I've come across that uses a Gwyn Lewis/LLama kit with big tyres and standard offset wheels. The increasing travel causes the axle to rotate further than standard, causing the top of the tyre (on the compressed side) to move further inwards than before as a result. Can you get hold of a set of the same size tyres on different offset wheels to try?
Also when the tyres starts to rub, how much clearance is there between the top of the tyre and the top/rounded face of the wheel arch?
And when a tyre starts to rub, how much more travel is there left in the entended damper?

I run disco alloys on mine but with 30mm spacers to eliminate the rubbing. If I win the modulars I'm bidding on my spacers will be up for sale.
Scorpion TUV approved billet alloy spacers, we may slate scrapiron but these are good quality and have never come loose despite getting some serious headache from me off road - £260 new. A sensible offer will secure.
Bear in mind that if you do RTV's or anything similar they are not allowed.
Stu.
