Hi from North Wales
« on: November 21, 2008, 05:05:56 »
Morning all - just signed up from North Wales. I'm driving a Defender 90 with the 300 TDI engine (as far as I can work out) and looking to do whatever I can without rebuilding the shocks and pretending to be a submarine.

Skimming the new members postings for the last little while suggests that I'm not alone in North Wales!

Unfortunately not - got to be in Glasgow tomorrow and struggling to solve an electrical fault (fuse blows when I signal left - I think, either Haynes manual doesn't describe my car or I'm being stupid with the wiring diagram - last one likely).

Do let me know when you're next meeting (iain@xenocide.org.uk) though and I'll try and make it.

When the bear that is wooly aint in Glasgow, he's about ten miles up the Conwy Valley from the A55 with a fairly quick run down to Llanwrst and from there to the rest of Snowdonia.

Hope you had a productive meet earlier today.

Think I've narrowed down my electrical fault to the trailer wiring now that I've found a 300 tdi wiring diagram - the one in my Haynes book has some printing problems on a few components (like the Hazard switch) so couldn't be sure about what I was checking.

The wooly one
