Its time for me to part
« on: November 20, 2008, 02:55:37 »
I need some help pricing up my beloved landy, she has become my second for a while and i now cannot afford to have her sitting aroun. im guessing its worth putting a years ticket on her and then sellign but i was looking for some pricing help.  she is an 88 diesel hardtop with rear windows and has had a recon lump fiitted about 500 miles ago that i bought off ebay. runs well and has had a new clutch and clutch slave fitted. the paint isnt the best but otherwise not too bad, and she could do with a new door top tho i may fit that too, defender style mirrors, reverse lamp, checker plate wings sills and floors and a snorkel and will have a new bumper and chassis leg on her as well as new oil etc. what should i price her up as?

With MOT, £1,500 I would say.  But be warned, the bottom of the Land Rover market has fallen out so the values of all Land Rovers have been plummeting.  :(

yea i thought as much as that, i was youing with the idea of giving it a full respray but it has cut wings which is a bit annoying.  I guess i wouldnt  argue with 1000 for it anyways to be honest thats about what its cost me a good home is better than a good price i guess.  Ha ha
