Did you get any pictures???
Sorry don't know anything about the handbrake but I think some of them are rods not cables and am interested in yours as I have never even looked at mine..
good luck and keep us informed...
marmite monster:
:Dnah no pics but i just left it bumped up against the big sign while i pumped up the tyres ha ha
its a cable i think :-k
Skibum346:
Get underneath and check the drum.. if it'sleaking oil the prblem is your oil seal in the transfer box... it'll mean new pads and plenty of brake cleaner on the drum.
All the best...

DiscoDan:
If you don't have oil in the drum then it might just need adjusting.
If it failed suddenly then it could be a snapped cable.
If you do it yourself I think its about £50 total. Get some new prop bolts and nuts for refitting while the handbrake drum is off.
You might need to remove the central console to reset the rachet mechanism, if the handle is pulled too far up the lever of the rachet flips over and when you lower the lever it fails to engage as it should.
Good luck, Dan
