Hello from Leicestershire
« on: November 11, 2008, 19:31:53 »
Time to say Hello and a bit about myself. I've had my Rangie for a few months now and have been looking for a forum to join. Browsing this place it seems to be a friendly bunch with my kind of attitude.

I sold a Audi 80 1.9TDi and replaced it with RRC 3.9EFi Auto and a lot of people are trying to persuade me to ditch the Range Rover in favour of a more sensible daily driver. I'm inclined to agree on a financial level as I already have one money pit in the form of my Audi S2 Avant and the Range Rover seems determined to fall to pieces faster than I can fix it. It's my first taste of British engineering after only ever driving German machines.

In my defence I like to think I have all the bases covered by having two 4x4 vehicles, one for the mud and load lugging and one for the race track

Cheers everyone for the welcome. I've been speaking to Greg at Douglas Motors/Wolston Garage today and he was telling me how much I'd fit in with this crowd.

He also said to mention that we are mates and he snet me your way. Are you guys paying him a commision?  I guess somethings got to cover the costs of his Golf

Welcome... whilst the RR may fall apart, you can be confident that there will (nearly) always be someone on here who can help with advice, humour or the loan of some spannering knowledge and time.

Tis a good place to be...

Hi,

I'm in Hinckley. The Rangie is now sporting mudclub stickers (and mud at the moment) so give me a flash or a wave. You'll know the truck as it the one that sounds like a steam train with it's spitting exhaust manifolds.
