Wot 35's ?????
« on: November 09, 2008, 21:29:00 »
I was in the process of getting some 285/75 grizzly claws for the Disco, but a supply problem has held up the order and got me thinking, maybe i should go for some 35'si nstead.
The disco has a 3 inch suspention lift and a 2 inch body lift, as well as the arches being trimmed quite a bit.

my question is which tyres to fit.
I need something that is fairly hard wearing with goodish road manners in a mud terrain pattern.
Also being a bit of a tight wad not to expensive. Roughly £150 a corner will keep mrs wizard happy.

Thanks for the reply, i was about to give up.
I have spent the last few days hunting all over the www to find the right tyres. I dont think i will be able to fit a set of 35's to standard Disco rims, so i will have to look for a wheel and tyre deal.
The guy in the link has a set of creepy crawlers with rims for £795.00 which is a bit more than i wanted to spend.
I am watching a set on ebay that finish in a few days but i expect them to go for close on £650.
I am in no major hurry but dont want to keep putting it off.

How about 37's??

37/12.5/16's for £139 each?

Might be a bit too tight on disco rims but should be fine on some 16x8 rims and they are cheap enough.

Well after a month of being messed about by various 4x4 companies that have either gone into administration or are dissolved i finally have a set of 35's on the old truck.
I got a set of 35 /12.5 -15 Mastercraft Coursers from JCS Tyres

Very happy with the service, they were delivered within a few days and are fantastic tyres.

If it ever stops raining i'll post some pix.

regards
wizard

and yes i did put them on in the rain.....
