hilift jack.
300 henry:
just got myself a hilift jack.. is it possible to mount it on front of disco bonnet or is that to dangerous :-k
muddymud:
this is what i did, jack stays nice and clean and no one can nick it!
Disco Matt:
I'd say it is - better bet is to get onto ebay and find a seller called "Wizardbilt" (he's also on this forum). Top bloke, makes a hilift jack rack that fits onto the Disco spare wheel carrier. It's very well made and works superbly, even has a hole for a padlock to secure the jack.
Just make sure you always carry the right size allen key to split the two halves of the rack, as you won't be able to get your spare wheel off in the event of a puncture otherwise. I always carry a set of long allen keys anyway as part of my toolkit. The advantage of this is that you don't have to put a muddy hilift in the back of your car, and any rain on the way home will clean it!
crazymac:
The Wizardbilt kit is very good, but I must caution about keeping a highlift outside!
You really need to maintain the jack, it needs to be well lubricated, but that will then attract crap and dust whn ot and about.

Agreed - mine only lives on there when out laning, and will be getting a good dose of WD40 when it comes in.
