You can still mount it out side in all weaters, just buy the highlift bag that zips up over it.

Does mounting it on the rear wheel not put extra strain on the door hinges? I just got a hi lift too and it's pretty heavy! :huh:

Seems fine so far, I've spoken to people who've used spare wheel mounts for years with no problems. Obviously if you hang a hilift and an oversized spare on the door then you may well be asking for trouble!

While the door is closed I would have thought no problems, but i would be careful opening the door! if the wind caught it with the extra weight on??
