The cog was turned clockwise 15 clicks and the cam was replaced so the larger part was facing the driver! if anything my truck is less keen in forth and fifth gear and on start off

The larger part should be facing to the front of the pump. Because that is where the pin is that alters the fuel which way did you turn the diaghram. It should be clock-wise about 45 degree's

boss:
on the write ups i read it says the back.

might be the problem mark, i marked it all lastnight so its just a matter of turning it around if that is the case!

biggerlandy:
it should be facing front hats wher you will get most power from dont forget to adjust power screw on back of pump it only needs half a turn you might have to remove tamper coller on it but it makes a hell of difference

marky:
Thanks for the comments. I turned the diaphram 180 degreees and WOW  what a difference thats made, you could hear the tyres struggling for grip on a very slightly damp road , and I haven't touched the power screw yet! I'm not getting any smoke either, so could I turn that cog a few more clicks? And which screw is the POWER screw?
