Bought some tinting film of eblag.

Gave it a go and.......

Did the NS Passenger windows by trimming to the rubber. Did the OS by taking the windows out - much better. Not done the tailgate or the alpines yet.

Did you do the top windows - those little curvey [!Expletive Deleted!] - I can't quite make it out !!!

If so how hard were they? I've done this on couple of 110's but not got round to doing the Disco yet. It won't be same without the top windows but I think they'll be very hard.

Looks really good though.

Could you trim the tint material a little bigger than the visible area of glass, then tuck it under the seal? I've not tried to fit any but if this worked it would make life easier.

that looks a great job. I spent a weekend doing mine, took all glass out to do them. Day or two later i could still see bubbles so it all came off again  shame as i think it looks good with them tinted.

As for the alpine lights, i believe (may well be wrong) that once all the back ones are done, the alpines look ok from the outside anyway, as in tinted ???

that looks good  :)

Mine were all tinted by a company that the previous owner used so I was lucky I didnt have to do mine. My alpine lights arent tinted and to be honest there isnt much reason to do them especially if the sun roofs arent done either!

I would like to do my caravan windows but wont just yet, cant afford too!

Don't ya just love 'em....

£225 for four from Old Sodbury in April 2006. Silver, covered in grease & grime with flaking paint. Within days, tyres removed, blasted and powder coated black. Sat bubblewrapped in the loft for two years until I could afford the tyres. Dropped on a mint black spare in October 2007. Finally got the money for the tyres in April (Headteacher awarded me UPS3) and hey presto. Fitted!

Did you do the top windows - those little curvey [!Expletive Deleted!] - I can't quite make it out !!!

Sadly not. Gave it a go but the edges are slightly "double" curved and it wouldn't adhere.

Could you trim the tint material a little bigger than the visible area of glass, then tuck it under the seal? I've not tried to fit any but if this worked it would make life easier.

The window has water sprayed on to allow the film to "float" into position. If it is trapped under the seal it will creep back under the film again and cause bubbles.

I would like to do my caravan windows but wont just yet, cant afford too!

I bought a 6m roll for £9.99. Plenty spare for errors.

Thanks for all of the positive comments guys.

On my old RRC I tried film and spray. The spray turned out looking hideous.

I got them from Old Sodbury - £125.

I believe they are from Discoparts but BE CAREFUL - I understand Discoparts have gone TU.
