As an SJ chassis, it would remain an SJ, not become a Minor IIRC.

TBH if you do go ahead with it I wish you good luck & would love to see the end result :D I spent quiet a bit of time restoring moggies mainly doing the drive train but a good clean one up here fully restored can fetch upto 10K which is something to think about if you can get 2 for the price you have mentioned :-k

50p!!  :P

TBH, our experience (we have been dealing with them for 15 years!) is that a nice sound 2dr saloon fetches around £2.5k, a 4dr around £3k, tourers and travellers around £4.5k. Obviously, a show car is worth whatever someone wants to pay for it. And the cost of having one professionally restored can reach £12-14k, so people asking £10k is no surprise. I would be interested to know if they ever get that sort of money though  :-k

Hi V8 Moneypit :DI used to work in a Rover dealership & as you have mentioned 12K plus was the norm for a full resteration, but I have seen a lot go for between 7K & 10K for a mint one  I did'nt realise how low the price can be for one now or perhaps they change value in different areas as i've found that a Terrano in the south is a lot cheaper than one in the north & guess where I live
